History

In the mid-1990s, the market for meat and meat products grew.

Dozens of meat processing private companies with local and national presence appeared in this period.

Demand for meat and meat products grew in all areas of consumption – households, mass catering.

New niches and opportunities for successful business opened up.

At that moment, mainly minced meat, chicken and pork cuts were offered.

In the beginning of 1998 Slavcho Atanasov decided to redirect the accumulated knowledge from the technical school and the university, as well as his experience as a technological engineer and chef in his own business for the production of ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat foods.

The beginning was set in a small room of 30 sq.m.

The entire family was involved, united by the idea to offer something different, tasty and successful.

All recipes were created, developed and tested many times before they appear on the market.

The journey was full of difficulties, but the pleasure of what has been achieved was stronger.

With the inclusion of the business partner and fellow student Yordan Vachev in 1999, the company began a new stage of its development.

Today Pikant Trade is one of the leading manufacturers of chilled and frozen products, a respected partner in Retail (Ритейл) and HoReCa (ХоРеКа).

The company develops its production activity in its own production base with an area of nearly 3000 sq.m, modern equipment and technology, and an excellent work team.
